| Azoospermia disorder is characterized by the absence of sperm in ejaculate as the result of an abnormal cause such as a disorder of spermatogenesis, endocrine abnormalities or obstruction in the male reproductive tract. Azoospermia can be subdivided into pre-testicular, testicular, or post-testicular causes. Based on the presence or absence of obstruction of the ducts or vas deferens, azoospermia can be also classified into obstructive azoospermia and nonobstructive azoospermia. |
