| The cerebrum is the regional structure of the brain, which is the adult equivalent of the forebrain or prosencephalon. It is constituted by the structural derivatives of the telencephalon and diencephalon including the cerebral hemispheres, epithalamus, thalamus, hypothalamus, lateral ventricles and third ventricle.
