| A contraindication is a relation between a health condition and a drug, which states that the drug has an adverse effect on the health condition and should therefore not be prescribed or administered to patients with that condition. A health condition that is known to be a contraindication for one or more drugs, could be a contraindication for a drug that might be prescribed in future. This we call a potential contraindication. |
