Conventional projectional imaging that uses ionizing radiation to produce images of internal structures by sending X-ray beams through the body which are absorbed in different amounts depending on the density of the structure. Plain X-ray uses X-ray alone and does not include more complex acquisition techniques such as fluoroscopy and computed tomography. |
