| An epileptic seizure consisting of sudden loss or diminution of muscle tone at the onset, without apparent preceding myoclonic or tonic event, lasting approximately 1 to 2 seconds, involving head, trunk, jaw, or limb musculature, originating within networks limited to one hemisphere, with impaired awareness (defined as impairment of knowledge of self and environment) occurring at any point within the seizure. |
