| An epileptic seizure consisting of sudden loss or diminution of muscle tone at the onset, without apparent preceding myoclonic or tonic event, lasting approximately 1 to 2 seconds, involving head, trunk, jaw, or limb musculature, originating within networks limited to one hemisphere, with retained awareness (defined as knowledge of self and environment) throughout the entire duration of the seizure. |
